(June 25) Known the worldwide as the "Velvet Teddy Bear" after his win on popular
talent show, American Idol, Ruben Studdard is turning in his bachelor card and is
getting married.
Sources say that Studdard, 29 and soon-to-be spouse Surata Zuri McCants, 30
applied for a marriage license this past Monday. The couple will marry this Saturday
in Birmingham, AL.
Studdard is best known for his hits, I'm Sorry 2004 and Change Me and has since
pursued a career in Gospel music.
The platinum-selling artist is currently working on a new album.
